INTERLUDE

During the period of the Pink Panther, I felt like joining AIBES (Italian Association of Barmen and Supporters). I needed the presentation signatures and I knew that Mr. Rapetti, a well-known and affirmed Chief Barman of the Milan section, practiced at the AGIP bar in Acqui Terme, a town where I worked. I introduced myself, pointing out my request and if it was possible.

Rapetti was silent for a moment, he didn't know me and he was rightly doubtful. Then he asked: ¨ ... where do you work? ¨. When I replied, his face, first doubtful, relaxed and with the added tranquility ¨ ... then if you work with Piero and Guido there is no problem¨. However, I didn't sign up then because other factors intervened. I followed my professional career making myself known with my job. When the Pantera experience ended I moved to a nearby disco where my references on the field were already known. I stayed there for a year with much satisfaction and I also think of the owner. Piero too.

I met Nino Perrone at the DIVA disco - this was the name of the club. We worked shoulder to shoulder a year and today, after thirty years, he is a dear friend. For a period he also held the position of National President of A.I.B.E.S. for me the most important and historic Italian professional barman association. Really very warm compliments !!
